I'm a mom of a 6 yr old and 3 1/2 yr old. I've been a teacher for 14 years, most of my experience has been as a fifth grade teacher however my interest in the power and potential of technology for teaching and learning has let me to my current position as technology integrationist in my school district. I get to support the use of technology to enhance instruction and learning, and I get to eat lunch with my Kindergartener when I'm working at his school. I love my job!

I got hooked in with the "I am MN future" Video contest. I learn the most both professionally and personally when I listen to the kids in my life. I look forward to seeing the videos submitted for the contest and reading the posts on this site. I will be working with a teacher and her students as they creating videos that express their opinions and ideas for change.

Hi Bethann -- Have you seen the www.educationevolving.org/studentvoices site? I produced a paper there called, "Tech Savvy Students Stuck in Text-Dominated Schools". Thought it might interest you. I'd love to discuss it sometime.
I work part time and have a 2 year old and 7 mo. old. I hear ya on the "mom-work" integration thing, too.
Awesome Bethann, and welcome! Also, I'd love to have some discussions about what you're finding as a technology integrationist. I did a bit of research on that a few years back, and found lots of divisive opinions (about the role of technology)...but things have changed so much since then (or maybe not)! Do you work for a school district?
